HiVizPlates Australia
Congratulations -
You have taken the first step in providing your Learner Driver with a safer method of being seen on our roads.
The laws today require Learner Drivers to actively drive in all conditions - day and night. These driving hours are logged and hours vary from state to state. They all include driving at NIGHT.
At HiVizPlates, we saw the need for a safer and more visible means of informing others on the road that a Learner Driver is present. Sure, the L plates already available do show others that a Learner Driver is out driving and these plates are very visible during daylight hours. What about at night ?
The L plates currently available are NOT visible at night !
Add a little rain into the scene and other L plates can become completely invisible.
The team at HiVizPlates has sighted this failing and after extensively testing and researching this problem, we have designed a reflective L plate, suitable for day and night driving.
When was the last time you saw a Learner Driver at night ?
Learner Driver confidence -
With any new driver, there are times when things don't go as good as expected. Instances of stalling a manual vehicle, being over cautious and generally driving slower than the vehicles around them. This can frustrate other drivers.
Informing others that the person in control of a vehicle guilty of any of these occurrences is a learner can usually give a more forgiving attitude to the Learner Driver. Not knowing that the driver is very new usually can just irritate others.
New South Wales requirements for learner drivers specifies that the L plate must be external to the vehicle cabin - the L plates cannot be attached to the inside of the front or rear windshield.
We have this covered. Simply remove the suction cup from the reflective L plate designed for attachment to inside of the front windshield and place it in plate holder, available from any auto parts supplier. The same method for displaying the reflective L plate as other non reflective L plates.
Driver statistics -
Driver fatalities in the age group 17-25 years have risen by 7% in the decade 2008-2017 **. This has steadily increasing in the past 5 years. Education of young drivers is not the only answer, but experience in driving all conditions is vital to reduce these figures.
